Just moved, Everything is great so why am I so depressed?

We just moved from one state to another 6 hrs away and are about to move into basically my dream house. I am really ok with being here and all, it’s just that the transition is messing with my head. It has been a long transition. My husband commuted for a year before I finally moved here. It took awhile to sell the house. For the past two months we have been living in a hotel with the cat and our dog. Tomorrow we close on our house. It’s a great house in a great area and I feel like I should be more excited. I just feel blah. I am fretting about the logistics of moving in, and worried about how the dog will adjust. Just making calls to turn on utilities is causing panic attacks. My husband keeps asking if I am excited about moving into the new house and at times I am but mostly I just want to crawl under the covers. Has anyone else experienced this?

How can i get my dogs to get along?

Hi i have a Female 12 month old Pit Bull and a 5 month old male Min Pin and today i just adoped a 2 year old Male Black German Shep. mix and he’s fixed and my Pit bull and min pin are not, everytime they see my shep. they try to eat him. My min pin is just scared i guess and he’s a little okay with my shep. but my pit bull she hates my shep. when i take her to petsmart she is fine with other dogs. Is this because a new & bigger dog is coming on her property? How can i get them to get along i cant keep them apart and my shep. doesnt growl untill my pit trys to attack him. Any info would be great. Thanks :]
Also dont say that my dog is “mean” because her breed. If you have a good answer that would help then feel free & i will not rehome her. She has NEVER tryed to attack another dog or child she loves people but for some reason she dont like the new shep.

Australian Cattle Dog Mix or Carolina Dog mix? Which do you think she is?

My husband says Carolina Dog mix and I say ACD mix. But I am starting to lean more toward Carolina Dog mix. You see we are in the deep south and we have a lot of both Carolina Dogs running around and Australian Cattle Dogs running around. The Carolina Dogs actually still live peacefully near the Indian Villages that are still around here. Our dogs mom was a stray and she was put down before my dog and her sister got adopted actually she was put down and the two pups were scheduled to be euthanized the day they were pulled by the rescue.

They said mom was either full blooded or mostly Jack Russell Terrier….I agree mom had to have some wirey breed in her because my dogs sister had a wirey coat.

Anyways she stays between 22 and 26 pounds.

She is a beautiful girl (her pictures really don’t do her justice) Her temperment is more of the Carolina dog…..

She has brown eyes by the way but they reflect green

She has the coat of a Carolina dog, her temperment is that of a Carolina dog. Her ****** build, body, tail. She is just smaller. Carolina dogs are between 30 and 44 pounds.

And she has similar features to the ACD as well.

Here is her picture:

Here is a link to info on Carolina dogs and pictures

Anyways let me know what you think?

Its quite common here for dogs to be mixed with either Carolina Dog or Australian Cattle dog

We are pretty sure its one or the other but we’ve seen so many Carolina dogs that look like her (she is just smaller but that makes since she is a mix)

Then again she resembles the ACD Red Heeler a lot too
Remember she is supposedly part Jack russell Terrier

What happens if an American Staffordshire Terrier is found in the UK?

I know that going by the uk kennel club they are classed as american pitbull terriers but what would happen if you were found with one and had papers to prove it was a amstaff would it still be put down. ?

And I know these are illegal in the UK But why are so many people selling them and breeding them all over the uk particually london and they advertise it all as well and dont get caught out so what’s going on with that ?

Why does my 2 year old dog chew stuff while were sleeping?

My labradore is 2 years old and from time to time we will find something chewed on. I really thought this was a puppy thing. She does not do this all the time. Its weird because I will leave my shoes and other things on the floor but she some how finds other thing and will chew that up. For example I could not find my cell phone and the next morning it was chewed up. Another example, my kids left one of there gameboy games some where that I did not see it and in the morning and it was chewed up. Its getting pretty expensive. I dont know if this is a problem because as I said earlier she does not do it all the time. I would say once every two, three months. I will start to give her trust and as soon as you know it happens again. What do I do?

Is it possible to sue a vet (or the receptionist) for this?

Not that I’ll even be able to, even though I /want/ to, and my dog died last year, March 29th, but I’m just curious…
My dog, Strider had heartworms. The vet said that he had VERY little. So little that it almost didn’t show up on the test. He was also young (2 1/2) The vet only gave us ONE option (the series of 3 shots over a few month.) Later, I found out that worms can be treated with Heartguard or even surgically removed. He also gave me some pills for strider. I had to give him one in the am, and one in the pm, everyday. I’ve never heard of pills going with this treatment. What were they even for? So, then my mom called TWICE within one week saying that Strider was breathing too hard, and the receptionist just said, “That’s normal”. Strider was breathing WAY too hard, mum told her, but again, she said “it’s normal” So, after 2 weeks on treatment, Strider died from suffocation. Could they get sued for this? The vet didn’t explain any other options & just said to keep him calm.
Which we did, and a couple months of grieving and bawling later from the loss of my brother (YES, my brother), I got another pup. When we brought him in to the /same/ vet, he couldn’t even get Stride’s name right. “I’m sorry about Striker.” is all he said with a straight face, not any sympathy, it seemed. I SO wish I could sue! -_-
Yes, Heartguard can be used to cure heartworms. It kills them slowly over a couple years or so. It probably would have been WAY easier on Strider, and I think he most probably would have lived through a Heartguard treatment.
Yes, I would /like/ to have back what we paid for treatment. Which was $400+, not to mention we paid $100+ to have him cremated…
Yeah, but how were /we/ supposed to know to crate him? The vet never told us anything about crating him. He said to keep him calm, which we did the best we could. I didn’t even take him for walks b/c the vet said not to after I had asked. But how were we supposed to know about crating him? We had never gone through HW treatment and knew nothing about it, but to keep him calm. And we did that the best we could…
Well, it’s not my fault that my mum keeps putting it off! D= She never wants to go searching for another vet. She keeps putting it off and putting it off, just like she put off getting Strider on Heartguard for 2 years, and look what /that/ resulted in? -_-
