Which breed did you want to win Westminister’s “Best in Show?”?

Considering that the Westminister Dog Show is the Super Bowl of dog shows (think of the terriers as the Patriots and everyone else as the Giants), which breed did you think deserved to win? They don’t necessarily have to have been chosen “Best in Breed.”

I’m also curious to know what was that reddish coloring near Uno’s mouth (the beagle who won Best in Show)?

For the past few months my dog wakes me up every night at 2:30 to go out side I let her out befor we go to bed but its not working! I find myself really tired how can I get her to sleep threw the night without waking me up?

How can I teach my new dog not to be snippy towards my other dog?

I just got a Jack Russell Terrier mixed w/ Beagle yesterday. I also have a Yellow Lab mix. So far things have been ok. It could be a lot worse. The lab is very curious and just wants to play. But the terrier doesn’t seem interested. She did just get fixed so she isn’t as energetic as usual. When my lab is sniffing her, getting to know her, she deals with it for a little while and then all of the sudden snaps and they start fighting. The lab can hurt the terrier no doubt. I don’t want them to fight like that. Could the terrier be acting this way because she doesn’t feel good from the surgery, or is she just snippy all together? If she is, how can I teach her not to fight with my other dog? Please help me!

What breed makes a good family dog?

We used to have a chocolate lab, but she passed away a few years ago, she was the perfect dog!
Now my parents want a smaller dog that dosent shed as much.
Maybe like the size of a beagle or a little bigger.
I would like a golden or lab, so i could play with it without worrying about squashing it whenever i take a step. So if theres a medium breed you know of that kind of has a big dog in a little dogs body, that would be great.

I want a dog but i want a cute one not too cute like toy dogs, like medium size. Maybe like a beagle but i have heard they are hard to train.
I want to teach it like fetch,sit,roll over , stay stuff like that.,

How do you stop dogs from chewing themselves?

Well, my new puppy keeps chewng herself. She is a Beagle/Basset Hound mix. She has about 3 sores on her now and i am starting to get kind of worried. My mom has tried a tablet that helps dogs with chewing but it did not really help. Please help.

Does anyone have experience with beagle aggression while eating?

our two one year old beagles have been amazing! the problem is when they eat. they have always been fine, the even listen to our commands to eat. they eat right next to each other. In the past few days, the one dog finnishes his food first and goes crazy on the slower dog. It’s almost as if he was possesed with barking and bitting. does anyone have any helpful hints to solve this problem?

What games do you play with a dog that just wants petting?

Sorry … I don’t know how to ask. She’s part Beagle and pointer, but she doesn’t want to fetch, play tug or play with toys. She just wants to sit in your lap and be petted. (Not correct grammar, but how else to say it). She’s sweet. That’s about it. The problem is I’m more active. So what are something I can do to play with her or to encourage play?
