How do you get a dog use to a cat?

I have 2-year old lab that we just got like a week ago. I also have a 10-year old cat. You can guess the rest. I was wondering is there a way to get the dog to be friends with the cat? We tried to put the cat in a kennel and let the dog sniff around and she was barking and the cat was hissing and swatting. So is there a way to get them to like each other and live in the same house?

Would your dog/cat notice if you disappeared before there eyes?

This may sound like a stupid question, but its general question about the intelligence of our furry friends cats/dogs—if you were stroking your cat or dog and then just vanished, or just disappeared before there eyes while standing, would they respond, would it register the same way as a human, can they differentiate between whats real or not. i don’t think my cat would take much notice if it was looking at me and i vanished. he would only start to notice once his became hungry

I have to watch my dog, cause every chance she gets she tries to eat the cat **** out of the litter box. My friends say there dog does it too, but I want to put a stop to it, cause it makes me sick.

Why would she do that? Thats **** man! ****! How on earth can she like the taste? She has a full dish.
Man I tell ya. I will never understand dogs. I’m a cat person. She was a gift. But I still love her. Just wish she didnt do something so gross.
