How can i get two girl dogs to get along?

I’m moving to San Diego in Dec.with my daughter who is 6 and our dog. ?
I’m looking for an area/town that is more on the hippie go green side of things, with culture. I want something safe for my daughter, but fun and laid back for her 25 yr. old single mother, I’m not into clubs but more local music pubs.
Both my daughter and I want something close to the beach/boardwalk and train, also a park/trail of some sort close by would be nice. Our dog would appreciate the outdoor stuff too.
Soo the areas I been looking at if anyone can give a yea or nye are Solana, Encinitas, Carlsbad, and Oceanside. Thanks !!

do parents have to do with a kid feeling **** all the time?
but i feel **** all the time (u can see my other question) and i found someone sharing the same feelings as me, its scary:

i’m not trying to be defensive or anything.. so pls hear me out here.. i try my best to be nice to ppl around me. and i try to be helpful and all that, but it’s so damn hard when the person doesnt appreciate it and takes advantage of me (i do all the dirty work whereas he/she gets all the credit) i’m that kind of backstage helper, and i do things that ppl take for granted will always do for them. and being nice to ppl isnt an issue, it’s being nice to mean ppl that is. and alot of ppl around me are mean.

How do I introduce my new pup to my cat?
This gives us time to prepare. My cat is a 4yr old orange tabby who is super spoiled. He spends more time in my room than in my brother’s and my parent’s so we have decided to not let the dog come into my room since it is kinda the cat’s room.
The only thing is, i don’t know how to introduce them. My cat is very friendly, he is just really picky when it comes to picking friends and is an indoor/outdoor cat who mostly hangs w/cats so i don’t know how he will first react.
Someone told me to have them greet outside and the dog should be in his crate so that the cat will get first sniff. Someone else said that I should not be carrying or be petting the pup when my cat is around the first two days so he doesn’t get too jelous and seek revenge and to not force their meeting.
What worries me is the size of the pup compared to the size of my kitty&kitty has claws
