He has pleaded guilty to the dog fighting charges and it is very likely that he will serve jail time.

How many breeders do *you* know that euthanize the puppies that don’t meet the standard?

After that BBC program aired, I’m seeing more and more people claiming that “breeders cull (kill) puppies that don’t meet the standard”.
No CommentsSo my question is: How many breeders do you personally know that still cull puppies by euthanizing them?
My dog doesn’t meet the standard, but she wasn’t killed; she was sold on a spay contract.

How can I find out if there are any dogs who are dangerous in my town?

I’ve seen lists for other towns and states, I can’t find one for Clearfield County in PA. Please help me… I just want to see a list of where dogs live who have been convicted of attacking people and children in my area. I’ve seen the top ten most dangerious dogs list and I don’t believe that is true. I am making a presentation about real dogs who attack.

My sister has a “dog aggressive” dog?

My sister has a 4 y/o Boston Terrier, Brutus. He is extremly dog aggressive but has not been with people (so far) They recently paid a trainer $1500 to come over and work with Brutus, and the trainer recommended they borrow someone’s dog so they borrowed my parents cocker spaniel, Mini-Me. Well, the trainer was watching the two dogs together and suddenly Brutus latched onto Mini’s face. She needed 8 stitches and my parents were super upset. My ? is; do you think a dog like this could be people aggressive at some point? My son is 5 and goes over there sometimes. We also have two labs who have NEVER been aggressive. I don’t know how comforable I feel at this point. Thoughts?
Yes, he is fixed. I don’t want my son to be the one when we find out he is “people aggressive” The trainer is supposed to be very good and came highly recommend, supposedly. Although my sister and her fiance are pretty po’d at this point.
Thank you for all the info. I am not sure why the trainer didn’t suggest they muzzle the dog. The trainer kept saying, “I told you not to let them get that close” but my sister said he was saying nothing, and letting them walk right up to each other.

i have a small dog who jumps at people when they come to my home and visit?

he is a small fellow 20 pounds or so (Bichon/pomenarian) friendly but makes people nervous i am not sure that stepping on his toes (see labrador question) is the answer here….any ideas?

If you look at America we have so many differnt people but i belive are origns are from one place. What about dogs do they all come form one place, Im sure they did not have wild pugs running around.

Is a Boston Terrier a good dog to have?

I’m not really into dogs but my husband wants to get one for our kids (2 kids ages 3 and 1). He’s into dogs like Boxers and Pits. I don’t want a big dog like that. I’m also not into those “cutsie” dogs either. I saw a Boston Terrier at the pet store and he was soo cute. My husband liked him also. I read a little about them but I would like some insight from people who have one.

Dog Breeds for people who are allergic?

A member of our family is allergic to dogs. We are trying to find out a breed that will not affect the allergy but that are also very family friendly. Any suggestions of where we look or how to go about buying a dog? This would be our first family dog.
